My time at UNICO was a great experience, and I definitely learned a lot throughout the internship! I enjoyed getting to work on a variety of projects, from researching startups and markets to helping with the daily operations. The internship gave me a better understanding of how the deep-tech space operates and helped me build important skills that I still use today in my current role!
What I appreciated the most from the experience was the opportunity to take on real responsibility and learn from everyone on the team. The whole team was very welcoming and always willing to answer questions and offer guidance, which made it a very easy opportunity to grow!
Overall, I’m very grateful for the experience and everything I was able to learn throughout my time with UNICO (especially the morning run club with the Vojtech (2x) and Marek!).
Atash Barbic, UCLA

I interned at UNICO's Prague office during the summer of 2024, and it was one of the most impactful experiences of my professional career. From day one, I had the opportunity to apply my skills in research, strategy, data analysis, and networking while receiving direct mentorship from the founders, Vojtech Kadlec and Vojtech Nosek. Their extensive experience in the Czech startup ecosystem challenged me to think more critically, approach problems with greater nuance, and grow into a more thoughtful and well-rounded consultant.
What stood out most was the level of ownership I was entrusted with. Even as an intern, I felt like a valued member of the team, contributing to meaningful work for clients across a wide range of industries, from AI to biotechnology. Beyond the projects, the people made the experience unforgettable. The office culture was welcoming, collaborative, and genuinely fun,
making it easy to build lasting relationships with both my colleagues and mentors. I left UNICO not only with stronger professional skills but also with meaningful connections and lessons that will continue to shape my career
