Business Validation workshops in Zagreb

Aktualizováno: před 5 dny

Last week, our Co-CEO Vojtěch Kadlec and Jiri Navratil led a two-day workshop for future tech scouts on business validation in Croatia as part of our long-term collaboration with The World Bank and Ministarstvo znanosti i obrazovanja | Ministry of Science and Education.

Why should tech scouts master business validation techniques if they are just "looking for technology and experts"? Because:

1) The problem statement a company wants to solve is not always clear. Market analysis and validation with key stakeholders helps to vocalize the assignment.

2) The solution already exists. In business validation, scouts look closely at all possible solutions that are direct and indirect competitors, not only in the market but also in development. As a result, they don't develop things that already exist.

3) Internal consensus within the company on what to scout for technology. Different departments within companies have different goals and so, if they are involved in new product development, they often have different expectations of the product (technology).

4) Viability of the intended product. In particular, firms for which product development is a new activity often do not think about the final cost of the solution, or the ratio of the costs spent on development and their return over time. Technology scouts help them avoid making poor economic decisions in this regard.
