Last week, UNICO had the immense pleasure of hosting Deep Tech Connect 2025, a two-day event designed to bring together Deep tech ecosystems of Czechia and Croatia. Over the course of the event, startups, investors, innovation agencies, and ecosystem builders came together to share insights, forge connections, and explore opportunities for collaboration across borders.

The outcome was exactly what we had envisioned: new connections, honest conversations, and unique technologies and ideas crossing borders. The energy in the room was palpable, fueled by the enthusiasm of startups pitching their solutions, the engagement of investors and corporates, and the support of our incredible partners: Nuqleus, CETAV – Centrum transferu AV ČR, Technologická agentura ČR, and CzechInvest.

We are especially grateful to the Embassy of Croatia in Prague for their warm welcome, providing a true piece of Croatia right in the heart of Prague, as well as HiLASE Centre Sanin Zulić, M.B.A., M.Sc., PrusaLab, and CVUT UCEEB for showcasing their cutting-edge projects in inspiring venues. Our thanks also go to Sara Polak, whose moderation seamlessly combined humor and insight, and to all the speakers—Dragan Kovačević, Jana Soukupová, Dalibor Marijanović, Thomas Evangelidis, Deni Nurkić, and Vojtech Nosek—for sharing their expertise.

At UNICO, we were delighted by the open conversations, friendly atmosphere, and creative energy that filled these two days. While the Vltava might not match the Adriatic in temperature, the warmth of collaboration and innovation more than made up for it.

These two days were only the beginning. We are excited to watch the collaborations and ideas sparked at Deep Tech Connect continue to grow and evolve. Here’s to building bridges, connecting ecosystems, and advancing deep tech innovation together! 🚀
