bringing fresh opportunities to fund your research and innovation!Â
đ Check out the details about this yearâs upcoming calls:Â
For instance, the EIC pre-accelerator offers âŹ20 million to support around 50 deep tech start-ups, with each able to apply for âŹ300â500k of grant.Â
Too hard to get? Too competitive? Maybe itâs better to go after some "low-hanging" local funding instead?Â
đŹ True. But for us at UNICO, itâs not just about the funding â itâs a key part of our internationalisation efforts.Â
Five years ago, we set out with a vision:Â
đȘđș To become an active part of the European innovation ecosystem.Â
đ€ To help shape it, connect with peers across the continent, and seek new collaborations.Â
We began through the Czech-UNDP Partnership for Sustainable Development Goals and the International Visegrad Fund, delivering innovation projects in Georgia (including unforgettable moments in the Caucasus mountains), Ethiopia (not quite Europe!), and Central Europe. We've facilitated design thinking and technology transfer workshops, startup awards, study visits, and built networks of tech transfer professionals.Â
Through the Interreg Danube programme, we gained experience working in larger consortia. Our CEO Vojtech Nosek took part in international competitions like Falling Walls Lab and joined key platforms such as the EIC Accelerator jury.Â
đĄ Lessons from HorizonÂ
Meanwhile, we kept applying to Horizon. Every rejected proposal taught us something. And when you succeed â itâs worth it.Â
Thanks to our participation in the current widerAdvance Facility, weâll be delivering IP services to research organisations in nearly 30 European countries and outermost regions over the next four years. The first call launches this month â stay tuned! đÂ
