Does your organisation hold promising research results from Horizon 2020 or Horizon Europe projects? Discover how the widerAdvance Facility can help you accelerate their commercialisation, IP protection, and real-world adoption. Apply before the upcoming summer cut-off on 15 September 2026.
Generating groundbreaking research is a major achievement, but bridging the gap between research outcomes and tangible market or societal impact often presents a new set of challenges.
Whether you are deciding how to protect your intellectual property, looking for the right standardisation pathway, or seeking external partners and follow-on funding, navigating the next steps requires dedicated expertise.
To address these needs, research organisations and universities in the Czech Republic can now access tailored expert support through the widerAdvance Facility.
What is the widerAdvance Facility?
The widerAdvance Facility is an EU-funded initiative providing tailored expert support (note: this is professional support, not direct monetary grants) to eligible organisations in Widening countries and Outermost Regions.
The scheme is designed to help organisations strengthen the impact and exploitation potential of their Key Exploitable Results (KERs).
Important update: The Facility is open to all projects under Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe (as well as COST actions), and there is no longer any distinction between direct and indirect KERs.
Tailored Support Services Available
Depending on your organisation’s specific needs, the widerAdvance Facility provides expert guidance in six key areas:
Dissemination and Exploitation Academy – Build a robust exploitation strategy to bring results closer to adoption.
Intellectual Property (IP) Support – Evaluate IP protection options and strategy.
Standardisation Support – Navigate standardisation pathways and regulatory requirements.
Pitching Support – Craft convincing pitches for investors, industrial partners, and stakeholders.
Synergies with Other Funding Opportunities – Identify complementary European and national funding pathways.
Preparation to Match with External Partners – Get ready to connect and collaborate with external market players and industry partners.
Who Can Apply and How?
Applications are submitted at the organisation level. If your organisation is based in the Czech Republic and has eligible Key Exploitable Results generated through Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, or COST projects, you are encouraged to explore this opportunity.
